Josh Parrott

Josh Parrott joined Penso Advisors as Managing Director of Business Development in November 2020. He is focused on sourcing and servicing client relationships as well as fundraising for the firm’s strategies. From 2014 to 2020, Josh was a Director for AQR Capital’s Business Development group covering a variety of intermediary and advisory clients. Prior to AQR, he was a Director of Portfolio Management and a founding member of the investment committee for Hatteras Investment Partners which incorporated an endowment style approach to investing in private investments and hedge fund strategies. He led the manager selection process for the hedge fund strategy and provided risk governance for multi-manager offerings. He began his finance career as an investment advisor at Bear Stearns and later for Morgan Stanley.

Josh received a B.S. in Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont. He has attained the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Designation. Josh and his family reside in Raleigh, North Carolina.
